Description
A one-metre length of 32mm (1¼″) bore galvanised flexible exhaust pipe, supplied with the matching 38mm clamp to suit 28.6mm–32mm tube. This is the part that carries exhaust gases out of a shed, cabinet or trailer locker and into open air.
If your generator runs inside any kind of enclosure, this is not optional. Generator exhaust gases are poisonous and leave the engine at over 600°C. An exhaust extension must be fitted so the gases discharge outside the enclosure, away from anyone working nearby.
The interlocking galvanised construction bends around obstacles and holds its shape, so it can be routed through a wall or roof panel and clamped in place without collapsing or kinking.
Features & Benefits
- Carries exhaust gases out of the enclosure — the single most important safety fitting on any generator installed in a shed, cabinet or locker.
- 1 metre length, 32mm (1¼″) bore — fits the standard outlet on GearGB Vanguard and Honda generator ranges.
- 38mm clamp included, suiting 28.6mm to 32mm tube — no need to source it separately.
- Galvanised interlocking construction — flexes around corners, holds its shape, resists exhaust heat and corrosion.
- Add more than one if the run is longer than a metre — lengths join with additional clamps.
- Running a generator in a small enclosure? You will also need the Cooling & Exhaust Extraction Kit — the pipe alone will not stop the unit overheating.
If the enclosure is big enough to walk into, a carbon monoxide alarm must also be fitted.
