A 14 metre 13A extension lead with a standard three-pin domestic plug and socket. It suits generators with 13A sockets and anything on a stall that runs off an ordinary UK plug: lights, tills, card machines and chargers.

Frequently asked questions

How much power can this 13A lead carry?

Up to 13A at 230V, which is about 3kW (13 × 230 = 2,990W). Add up the wattage of everything plugged in at the far end and keep the total below that figure. If it comes out higher, you need a lead and a generator outlet with a higher amp rating.

Will this lead fit my generator?

Yes, if your generator has standard UK three-pin 13A sockets. The plug is an ordinary square-pin domestic plug. If your generator only has round blue industrial sockets, choose one of our 16A or 32A leads instead, which have the matching industrial plug.

Can I use this lead outdoors?

The plug and socket are standard domestic fittings with no weather seal. Keep the connection off the ground and out of the rain. For exposed pitches, use a 16A or 32A lead with IP44 or IP67 connectors.

Should I unwind the lead fully before use?

Yes. Always uncoil the whole lead before you switch on. Cable left in a coil cannot shed heat, and under a heavy load it can overheat.
