LPG Engineer Referral Service

Do you need a qualified mobile catering engineer to test, repair or provide a gas safety certificate for your mobile catering vehicle? We offer a referral service in that we refer an Engineer to help with the certification of  mobile catering business.

Did you know that it’s a legal requirement for all mobile caterers to have their gas equipment checked, and certified, annually in most cases (or bi-annually for some high-risk installations) to ensure the equipment is safe to operate? These checks must be carried out by an engineer with the appropriate mobile catering qualifications, in addition to, or instead of domestic appliance qualifications).

Mobile catering equipment

It’s a legal requirement to have all equipment installed/inspected by a Gas Safe Engineer. All catering equipment has a CE mark.

Qualified Mobile Catering Engineers

All  engineers need to be Gas Safe Registered and qualified on Commercial Mobile Catering (CMC).

Mobile catering (CMC) also requires engineers to hold the appropriate core and appliance assessments e.g

  • Commercial catering core gas safety (CCCN1)
  • Natural gas to liquefied petroleum gas changeover (CONGLP1)
  • Ranges, grills, steam ovens (COMCAT1)
  • Fracino Coffee Machines (COMCAT2)
  • Deep fat fryers (COMCAT3)

Fitting Equipment

If you require an engineer to fit catering equipment they will have to visit on-site to survey the work that is needed. This cost will vary but will be fair. Only essential work that is needed will be carried out. Engineer’s do there best to keep costs down for our customers. We do not employ enginner this is just a referral service.

With this referral service, we will when possible arrange for a Gas Safe LPG Mobile catering engineer to contact you to  carry out the work required.

For Your Information.

Prior to LPG Engineer attendance: Please make sure all equipment, nearby work areas and access are clean. Grease, food and any debris must be removed. This is a hazard and can slow down work efficiency for engineers and may result in a higher charge.

Please note: To trade you need evidence of gas safety testing and inspection by a gas safe registered engineered engineer qualified for LPG, commercial catering appliances and mobile commercial catering. Without a test certificate, you have nothing to show event organisers, safety professionals, EHO or the HSE that your equipment is safe in the configuration you have set it up to comply with UKLPG Code 24/3

    Its my first time owning a catering trailer and it was run on all electric this was no good for events, I needed to fit a gas griddle, deep fat fryer and water heater. I phoned many catering people to help me and they wanted extortionate money or they never came back to me except MOBCATER CATERING. I spoke to a great chap called David and he helped me from start to finish he never pushed me into making decisions and even supplied me with all the equipment at a great price, he quoted a price and kept his word. I will always use this company and thank you all for your help.
