Using the Flojet BW5000 with Multiple Appliances
The Flojet BW5000 is designed to supply one appliance at a time, such as a coffee machine or sink.
Can I split the outlet? You can split the outlet using a food-grade Y‑connector or T-piece for light use (e.g., a coffee machine and a handwash sink) as long as only one appliance draws water at a time. This works well in setups like catering trailers where you’re not brewing and using the sink simultaneously. What should I avoid? Don’t split the outlet for high-demand or simultaneous-use appliances like: Coffee machine + dishwasher Two coffee machines Ice maker + sink The flow rate is already low (2.3 litres per minute). If two appliances run at once, each would only get around 1.15 litres per minute, which is very slow and may not be practical.
Tip: – Using a T-connector (one line in, two out) is possible, but we recommend testing it in your setup to make sure the flow rate meets your needs. For true dual-appliance use, consider a high-flow pump system or two separate Flojet pumps.
