How to buy from our website

Add items that you wish to purchase into the shopping cart by selecting the ‘Add to Cart’ button on a product page. After you have completed your selections click on the ‘Basket’ drop down in the top right of the page and follow the ‘Checkout’ steps. You will be asked for a few details that we need in order to complete your order.

We accept credit and debit cards through PayPal. To learn more about SagePay please visit our Security Page.

Shipping, Handling and Delivery

Once we have received your order and cleared funds you will receive your order confirmation and we will process and despatch your goods on the same day providing the order has been placed before 12 noon. If the order is placed after 12 noon your order will be despatched the next working day.

Please contact us if you need to place an order between 12noon and 5pm weekdays and we will do our best to despatch the next working day.

Some larger or specialised equipment may be shipped directly from our suppliers and delivery may take between 3-7 days depending on the product and availability of stock. In this case, we will contact you with a revised delivery times.

Similarly, if we do not have your item in stock it will automatically be placed on back order and will follow when stocks are available.

If you have not received your back ordered item when you are due to expect it, please contact us for an expected delivery date.

All of our products come with a standard guarantee under the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Many of our products have an extended manufacturer’s warranty that is clearly stated in the product’s description. For our full returns policy please see our Returns Page.

Tax (VAT)

For orders made from within the UK or EU, Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current UK rate will be applied.

Credit Card Security

When an order is placed on our website credit card numbers are encrypted in transit and are tokenised on our payment gateway . Card details are not held in clear text on our website and are therefore not visible to any of our staff or suppliers.

Privacy and Cookies

Oxford ChefShop does not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of a Direct Delivery. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Cookies are used on our website to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process.

You can turn off cookies within your browsers Privacy settings however if you turn off cookies you will not be able to place an order on this site as the order information is held in a cookie until checkout is complete.
